ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Cindi. I am the director and owner of MY SCHOOL daycare/preschool. I am a mother of 3, 2 daughters ages
16 and 13 and my son 1. I grew up in Gilroy, California and moved to the Sacramento area about 7 years ago. I worked in the
field of dentistry for 15 years, the first two being in pediatric dentistry. I enjoyed it very much but felt I had to learn
all aspects of dentistry. In 2001, I operated a childrens' fitness center here in Elk Grove. I worked with ages 3 months to
12 years teaching balancing, tumbling, agility, sports skills, hand-eye coordination, and most importantly self-confidence.
I've decided to go back to school earning an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and start a new career to bring
together everything I've learned and taught along the way into my very own daycare/preschool.

As a preschool teacher, my main focus is
to get them ready for Kindergarten. In doing so, we practice letter and number recognition, learn basic site words, pronounciation
of letters and vowels, telling time, math skills, writing, and much more. Also, I like to focus on the social aspect of preschool
by teaching them self-control, large and fine motor skills, healthy habits, problem solving, how to express themselves, and
most importantly diversity. All this is done while having fun and being independent creative thinkers. | |
